Revascularization Strategy with prolonged cardiopulmonary bypass in a patient with multiple morbidity factors and serious left main coronary artery lesion

چکیده
Method Coronary angiography and selective arch aortography, revealed plaque formation that was not creating any hemodynamic obstruction on left carotid system and total occlusion of right internal carotid artery. Serious stenosis of 50% at left main coronary artery and threevessel disease was evident. Interventricular septum was measured as 16 mm in transthoracic echocardiography. High-risk surgical revascularization of coronary arteries was planned.

In recent years off-pump coronary artery bypass surgery (OPCAB) has emerged as preferred method for revascularization of coronary arteries in relatively selected group of patients. Considering patients receiving incomplete revascularization need significantly higher postoperative catheterization and re-intervention (PTCA or CABG), we performed this study to identify safety and feasibility of th...
متن کاملOn-Pump Beating Coronary Artery Bypass in High Risk Coronary Patients
Background: There are some conflicting results with Conventional Coronary Artery Bypass Grafts (CCABG) with arrested heart in coronary high-risk patients. Moreover, performing off-pump CABG in these cases may be associated with serious complications. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of the on-pump beating CABG (OPBCABG) in coronary high-risk patients in comparison with th...

OBJECTIVE The authors performed a retrospective cost analysis for patients undergoing revascularization of their left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery either by standard coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), or minimally invasive coronary artery bypass grafting (MICABG). SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA Minimally invasive CABG has becom...

Background: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors which can help to predict operative mortality before performing the operation, and afterwards. Methods: The study population consisted of 504 patients (91 women and 413 men) who underwent primary isolated coronary artery bypass surgery from December 1997 to September 1999 by the same surgeon in a referral center in Tehran, Iran....
